The top is Sitka Spruce and it has beautiful figured Bubinga back & sides. This combination yields an instrument that is a little darker in tone. The bridge, fretboard and headstock are Ebony. I used the newer EVO gold fretwire and the tuners are Antique Gold 510 minis with black buttons. The rosette features solid Eucalyptus burl trimmed with Blue Paua Abalone purfling. Binding is Curly Maple. The price on this guitar is $2300 CDN.
This guitar was built with the fingerstyle player in mind. With it’s compound radius fretboard I was able to achieve an extremely low action. As such this guitar is not the best choice for the heavy handed.
